This is a “Hoop Shoot” Free Throw Program offered by Elks Lodges across the USA. There is no charge to participate in the event.
Prizes awarded for 1st – 3rd place for each boy and girl in 3 age groups (8 – 9, 10 – 11 and 12 – 13). The 1st place winners of the Lodge shoot will advance to District Hoop Shoot and could advance further to Regional, State and possibly the National Finals at the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA.

The Ballston Area Community Center is hosting the 2016 craft fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016, at 20 Malta Ave., Ballston Spa. Admission is free.

BALLSTON SPA ELKS LODGE #2619 ANNUAL HOOP SHOOT
A free throw program for ages 8-13
The Ballston Spa Elks Lodge #2619 will host their Annual Hoop Shoot at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 29 at the BACC (Ballston Area Community Center) 20 Malta Avenue, Ballston Spa. All boys and girls ages 8-13 can participate.
The event is FREE for all eligible participants.
Contestant’s age group are determined by their age as of April 1, 2016. Children MUST bring proof of age (i.e. birth certificate, passport) to register and MUST wear gym shoes.
The boy and girl winner of each age group (8-9, 10-11 and 12-13) will advance to the District Hoop Shoot to be held at a later date.

The Ballston Area Community Center’s Teen Program Presents the Job Readiness Course. This free course is for teens looking to join the workforce and would like to learn crucial skills needed for new jobs such as: communication skills, appropriate attitude and enthusiasm, teamwork, networking, problem-solving and critical thinking and professionalism. The course follows the teen curriculum “Skills To Pay the Bills” by the U.S.Department of Labor.
