In April 1986, Ballston Spa High School student and Scotties baseball pitcher Ted Lehmann gave up 6 hits in the six innings he pitched against Hudson Falls. Unfortunately, two of those hits were homeruns. The Scotties lost the game 2-0. Were you a BSHS student in 1986? Do you remember this game or have anything to say about Scotties baseball today?

The Round Lake/Malta Youth Baseball League is accepting registrations for recreational spring baseball.
The league is dedicated to providing recreational co-ed youth baseball to the community at low fees, regardless of experience, residency or school district. Divisions start at T-Ball (ages 4-5) and go up to Division 10U. There are a limited number of spots per division. You also can register for league-subsidized player clinics.
Registration and Payment: All families must create an account to which more than one player can be added. The website will tell you what divisions your players qualify for based upon their age as of May 1, 2016. All payments must be made by MasterCard or Visa.
Location of Games: Please note, all T-ball games are played in Round Lake. All other divisions play in either Round Lake or Halfmoon Town Park.
Clinics: League-sponsored clinics will be available for ages 5 to 10. During registration, you can sign up 5-year-old players for a clinic that will take place on one weeknight in March at the Malta Community Center. The cost of the clinic is just $5, which will be paid along with your registration if you elect to participate. League-subsidized clinics for players age 6 through 10 will take place on two consecutive Saturday mornings or two consecutive Sunday afternoons at an indoor training facility such as Hayners Sports Barn or the training facility adjacent to Tree Paad in Malta. During registration, indicate if you are interested in participating in the 6 to 10 clinic. Registration for this clinic will be after dates and cost are announced in late January.
Paper applications also can be found at the Malta Community Center.
