The second annual Jenkins Park Music and Arts Festival will start at noon Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Jenkins Park in Ballston.
The free event is open to the public. Multiple bands are signed up to perform, including Ameros, Better Late Than Never and The Planets. If you have a band and would like to take the stage and play, contact the organizers. High school bands and/or garage bands are welcome.
Some food and drinks will be provided, but organizers recommend bringing picnic foods to share. There will be gas grills, burgers, hot dogs, buns condiments, paper supplies, and water and soft drinks. No alcohol is allowed at Jenkins Park.
Besides the provided entertainment, Jenkins Park offers open fields, hiking trails, and other attractions.
Organizers are also looking for more artists and crafters to display their wares. To participate as a band or artist in the event or for more information, contact Lynnette Ziskin at Lynnettez@earthlink.net or 518-384-3737 or Bill Denison at Happy12027@aol.com.
Jenkins Park Music and Art Festival began last year as part of a 60th birthday party for Bill Denison. It went so well that the organizers decided to make it an annual event. This year, it’s more focused on celebrating high school graduations. In the future, Jenkins Park would like to take over the event and make it an annual community music and arts festival that everyone can enjoy.
