Join the Friends of the Kayaderosseras (FoK) for Fall Cleanup Day at 9:30a.m. at Kelley Park, Ballston Spa. All are welcome to attend! Trash bags and lunch are provided, but bring your own work gloves. Volunteers are given directions to problem areas along the creek, where they bag the trash they can, and haul things like tires and appliances to the roadside where the Town Crews can collect them later.

“Saratoga Leadership is hosting a “Getting on Board to Raise Money” seminar on Tuesday, Dec 6. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and a full breakfast buffet is included. The seminar will take place from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and will be held at the Holiday Inn, 232 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, according to information from organizers.”
“The first part of the program will explore fundraising from several different perspectives including some basic truths, strategy, and the impact of the current economic landscape on fundraising. The second half of the program will look at the board’s role in fundraising and will include some hand-on practice,” according to a statement from Saratoga Leadership.
Tracy Savage, senior consultant and principal at Marts & Lundy is presenting. Tracy has more than twenty-five years’ experience in nonprofit fundraising. She joined Marts & Lundy in 2002. Marts & Lundy is an international consulting firm that helps its clients “reach and sustain their philanthropic potential,” the statement reads.
Previously she was chief development officer and assistant head of school at The National Cathedral School in Washington, D.C. She serves as a trustee of Norfolk Academy, the Washington Revels and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and is a former trustee of The Madeira School, St. Peter’s School in Philadelphia and the National Cathedral School.
Cost will be $25 per person, if reserved by Thursday, Dec. 1. After Dec. 1 the cost is $30 per person. If five or more participants register from the same organization by Dec. 1, cost is $20 per person.
