On March 28, 2013 Ballston Spa Police Department arrested three suspects following an investigation into a burglary that occurred on March 21 at Rickett’s Laundry, located at 2017 Doubleday Ave in the Village of Ballston Spa, the BSPD announced in a press release. During the burglary the suspects were able to illegally gain entry to the office area, allegedly taking money and other valuables from two safes located in the business office area of the building, the police department said.
Arrested were Dylan M. Miller-Wood of 885 Middleline Rd. in Ballston Spa, Andrew J. Debenedetto of 90-92 Ford St. in Ballston Spa, and David M. Thompson of Kent St. in Ballston Spa.
Miller-Wood was initially arrested on March 27 around 1:20 a.m. when officers found him outside Rickett’s Laundry acting suspiciously and in possession of the stolen keys, the BSPD said. “It appears Miller-Wood had returned to the scene of the burglary nearly a week later in an attempt to use the stolen keys to steal additional money from the business,” the statement read.
Miller-Wood was initially charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the 5th degree. Further investigation led officers to arrest Miller-Wood and the other two suspects for burglary in the 3rd degree and conspiracy in the 5th degree. The additional charges stem from the March 21 burglary.
Miller-Wood was arraigned before Judge Schroeder and released on his own recognizance. He will appear in Village Court at a later date. Debenedetto and Thompson were arraigned before Judge Schroeder and remanded to Saratoga County Jail on $500 cash bail.
