The public is invited to an Open House and Donation Drive held to celebrate Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week (November 15-23) and to introduce new Executive Director Michael Finocchi, who will present future shelter initiatives. The event takes place on November 14 from 4p.m.-7p.m at 14 Walworth Street, Saratoga Springs.
Refreshments will be provided by local establishments. The event is free. Food and supply donations are appreciated.

Learn about the services we provide and celebrate the success of their essential and expanded programs. The Mobile Outreach Program, which in 2013 made over 600 contacts with people in need; The Youth Outreach Program, a collaboration with CAPTAIN Youth & Family Services that connects youth with support, safety and basic necessities; and Code Blue Saratoga which provided temporary emergency shelter to the homeless community on 58 nights last winter.

SARATOGA SPRINGS – The Northshire Bookstore and Piper Boutique are pleased to announce a special fundraising weekend to benefit Shelters of Saratoga. On January 11 and 12th, both stores will donate 20% of all sales to Shelters of Saratoga.
Piper Boutique is located at 441 Broadway, and will be open 10 am to 9 pm on January 11, and from 11 am to 6 pm on January 12. Northshire Bookstore is located at 424 Broadway, and will be open on January 11 from 10 am to 10 pm and on January 12 from 10 am to 7 pm.
Shelters of Saratoga, through the provision of shelter, provides a range of affordable housing opportunities, advocacy, referral services and informational resources, and strives to ensure that adults in the Greater Saratoga Region who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, have safe and affordable housing.
Piper Boutique’s donation will benefit Shelters of Saratoga’s Youth Outreach Program. Northshire Bookstore’s donation will go to the general fund.
