Update 12:50 p.m. 02/15/16: On Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016, residents at the Saratoga Center for Rehab and Skilled Nursing Care came together to watch the big game and enjoy a full buffet of food while they cheered for their favorite team, or just enjoyed the commercials.
The party brought nearly 100 people to the rehab center, which included residents, their family members and staff. To accommodate the large crowd, two TVs with one at each end of the room ensured that everyone had a great view and didn’t miss out on any of the action. A catered buffet was enjoyed by Saratoga Center’s residents and guests, which included chicken teriyaki, cheese and crackers, Buffalo wings, pulled pork and a selection of drinks.
Everyone who attended was also entered into a raffle to win a 52-inch TV, which went to a visiting friend. For those residents who were unable to attend the party, they were still able to enjoy the Super Bowl as resident rooms have been equipped with brand new flat-screen TVs.
Even though none of the New York teams made it to Super Bowl 50, residents and their guests still enjoyed the party and look forward to continuing the tradition next year.
