Brookside Museum: Tech Valley’s Modern Immigrants: 1999 to Present

An Oral and Video History

libertyThe Chamber of Southern Saratoga County and Saratoga County’s Historical Brookside Museum in Ballston Spa, are working together on an exciting Oral History Project project that will map and document recent immigration from abroad into New York’s Tech Valley.

Students from the Ballston Spa and Shenendehowa School Districts, will interview individuals who have immigrated within the last fifteen years, and are living or working in Saratoga County, interested in sharing their stories.

Chamber members from the Capital Region Language Center, the Sylvan Learning Center and The Ballston Journal are each donating their time, expertise and resources to the project. All of the interviews will be archived at the Brookside Museum. Select interviews will become part of a museum exhibit to debut later this year.
