Two Arrested For Welfare Fraud In Saratoga County
MALTA – A Galway woman and Ballston Spa man are accused of falsifying documents in order to receive more than $15,000 in food stamps.
State Police arrested 34-year-old Lisa M. Schimpf and 34-year-old Christopher DiComillo for Welfare Fraud on Tuesday, Jun. 20.
The former couple is charged with Welfare Fraud in the 3rd Degree, Grand Larceny 3rd and Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the 1st Degree.
Police say both Schimpf and DiComillo fraudulently received $15,567 in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits by falsifying documents in order to receive them.
Schimpf and DiComillo were arraigned in the Town of Milton Court and were released to Saratoga County Probation Pre-Trial Services. Both are to reappear in the Town of Milton Court Tuesday, July 1.
