According to Tedisco’s Facebook page, he and the students discussed legislative priorities for the 2016 session.
“As always, great seeing Mr. Daniel Hornick’s students from Ballston Spa High School who I met with today in the Assembly Chamber. I encouraged the students to not be afraid of failing at something because one can only succeed when you put yourself out there and take a chance. We also discussed legislative priorities for the 2016 session including the need for ethics reform to encourage rank and file lawmakers to take power away from legislative leaders,” the Facebook post continued.
Michael Kenneally, legislative director with Tedisco’s District Office in Clifton Park, said the class visits once a year. He said the assemblyman’s more than happy to meet with other classrooms but that Hornick makes it a regular thing.
“(Tedisco) loves doing it,” Kenneally said. “He’s a former teacher himself, so he has a heart for students.”
