Remember When: A Trolley Connected Towns

kaydeross railroad trolley

A Kaydeross Railroad trolley car is seen at Hatch Bridge at the intersection of Route 29 and Middle Grove Highway above Rock City Falls around 1910.

An electric-powered trolley line ran along Kayaderosseras Creek to support industries. It connected Ballston Spa, Bloodville, Factory Village, Craneville, Milton Center, West Milton, Rock City Falls and Middle Grove. It ran until 1929. The blue trail at Boice Family Park runs along the path of the old railroad.
