Ballston Spa Police Department
Petit larceny: Brian Pritchard, 31, of Ballston Spa, was arrested on Thursday, June 30, 2016 on a warrant for petit larceny. Pritchard was released and was due in court on Monday, July 11.
DWI: William J. Brasier, 37, of 3626 Oxford Road, New Hartford, was arrested on Thursday, June 30, 2016 on the charges of driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher, speeding and failure to notify the state Department of Motor Vehicles of an address change. He is due in court on Monday, July 18.
Unlicensed: Gina M. Battista, 24, of 26 Orenda Spring Drive, Saratoga Springs, was arrested on Thursday, June 30 on n the charges of aggravated unlicensed operation, third degree, and speeding. She is due in court on July 25.
DWI: David J. Veith, 49, of 704 North Whitford Road, Exton, Pennsylvania, was arrested on Thursday, June 30 on the charges of driving while intoxicated, blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher and speeding. He is due in court on Monday, Aug. 8.
Suspended: Jenna Giardino, 30, of 620 Park Ave., Rochester, was arrested on Monday, July 4 on the charge of driving with a suspended license. She is due in court on Monday, Aug. 8.
Contempt: Michael R. Masser, 36, of 5 Salmon Run, Hilton, was arrested on Monday, July 4 on the charge of criminal contempt, second degree. He is due in court on Monday, Aug. 22.
Suspended: David A. Spinelli, 63, of 10 Heritage Lane, Clifton Park, was arrested on Monday, July 4, on the charge driving with a suspended registration. He is due in court on Monday, July 25.
Trespassing: Peter A. Marks, 75, of Ballston Spa, was arrested on Tuesday, July 5 on the charge of trespassing. He is due in court on Monday, July 25.
Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office
Petit larceny: Kayla L. Ratigan, 26, of 3901 Lewis Road, Ballston Spa, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor larceny on June 30, 2016. Ratigan stole $40 in merchandise from the Dollar General on Dominic Drive in Ballston on June 26, when she concealed the items in her bag and attempted to leave without paying, according to police.
Ratigan was released on an appearance ticked and is due back in Ballston Town Court at a later date.
Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office
Assault: Jonathan N. Kerley, 51, of 35 Blizzard Road, Stillwater, was sentenced on July 1, 2016 to serve five years in a state correctional facility, followed by 18 months probation for his previous conviction on the charge of assault, second degree. Kerley will serve a concurrent term of between one and two-thirds years and five years for criminal possession of a weapon, the third degree.
Kerley was convicted on the charges earlier this year stemming from an incident that occurred in Malta on Dec. 8, 2014, in which Kerley attacked an individual at a bar on Route 9 after taking offense to a comment made by the person. He struck the victim with a three-inch blade, leaving the individual with deep wounds to his hands after attempting to shield himself from the knife.
Kerley was also ordered to have no contact with the victim.
Grand larceny: John V. Vardine, 48, of 187 Bath Street, Ballston Spa, was sentenced on July 5, 2016, to 18 months to three years in prison in connection with his conviction on one count of grand larceny in the fourth degree. Vardine was arrested on March 13 in Wilton and pleaded guilty on May 10.
DWI: Korey, R. Wojtowecz, 26, of 1281 Armer Road, Rock City Falls, was sentenced to time served and five years probation. Wojtowecz was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated on May 1, 2016 in Saratoga Springs.
