Woerner, a Democrat, held a grand opening Wednesday, Sept. 14 for her campaign headquarters at 5 Wells St. She represents portions of Saratoga and Washington counties as part of the of the 113th Assembly District.

The Round Lake resident is seeking her second term. She’s facing Republican Christopher Boyark, a local business owner who won his primary contest against Gerard Moser on Tuesday.

Woerner was first elected in 2014 when she defeated Republican Steve Stallmer to fill the seat vacated by Republican Tony Jorda, who resigned to become district attorney in Washington County. Republicans outnumber Democrats in both Saratoga and Washington counties, though there is a sizable number of registered voters that are independent.
