SARATOGA SPRINGS – The League of Women Voters of Saratoga County has produced an information guide for voters ahead of next month’s election.
The guide provides information on races for U.S. President, U.S. Senate and House of Representatives, state Senate and Assembly, as well as county supervisor positions and local judicial positions. Voters can access the guide by going to the League website and selecting from the list of races that will be held in the county.
For a printed copy of the guide go to the League of Women Voters national website at www.vote411.org and enter your mailing address. Information also can be found on that site for absentee voting, information about voting machines, military and overseas voting, assistance for voters with disabilities, voting hours, identification needed for voting and links to the New York State Board of Elections.
The League of Women Voters, which is open to women and men, is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government. With its roots in the suffrage movement, the organization has more than 150,000 members in the U.S., including 60 local leagues and roughly 8,000 members in New York.
In addition, sample ballots for each town and city in Saratoga County can be found at the Saratoga County Board of Elections website. The election will be held Tuesday, Nov. 8.
