Police and Courts: Jan. 5-11, 2017

The following items are police and courts records from the Ballston Spa Police Department, Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office and New York State Police.

Ballston Spa Police Department

Unlicensed: Brian F. Jones Jr., 31, of Ballston Spa, was arrested Friday, Jan. 7 and charged with driving without a license.

Warrant: John A. Ferree, 39, of Albany, was arrested Monday, Jan . 9 on a warrant issued by the village justice.

Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office

DWAI: James R. Wright Jr., 25, of Saratoga Springs, pleaded guilty Tuesday, Jan. 10 to the charge of driving while ability impaired by drugs.

Wright was convicted for an incident that occurred in Malta last May. He is due back in court for sentencing Wednesday, March 15.

Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office

Larceny: Michael Sanders, 48, of Malta, was arrested Friday, Jan. 6 and charged with petit larceny.

Sanders was arrested following an investigation into a Dec. 20, 2016 report of a burglary in Malta. The investigation determined the incident was not a burglary, but rather that Sanders  stole personal items from the victim, police said.
