Police and Courts: Jan. 12-18, 2017

The following items are police and courts records from the Ballston Spa Police Department, Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office and New York State Police.

Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office

Possession: Denise N. Rush, 48, of Troy, pleaded guilty Tuesday, March 10 to the charge of attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance, third degree.

Rush was arrested for the crime last July in Ballston. She is due back in court for sentencing Tuesday, Feb. 28.

Possession: Craig L. Johnson, 54, of Schenectady, pleaded guilty Thursday, March 12 to the charge of attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance, third degree.

Johnson was arrested for the crime last July in Ballston. He is due back in court for sentencing Thursday, March 9.

DWI: Shelly A. Annas, 47, of Ballston Spa, was sentenced Thursday, Jan. 12 to five days in jail and five years of probation.

Annas was arrested on the charge in Ballston Spa last May.

Homicide: Harold L. Wolcott, 41, of Ballston Spa, pleaded guilty Tuesday, Jan. 17 to criminally negligent homicide for an incident that occured in Milton on April 29, 2016.

Wolcott is due back in court for sentencing Friday, March 24.

DWI: Joshua R. Loukes, 26, of Charlton, was sentenced Wednesday, Jan. 18 to time served and five years of probation.

Loukes previously pleaded guilty to the charge of driving while intoxicated, which he was arrested for in Ballston last March.

DWI: Kyle J. Kilburn, 28, of Ballston Spa, pleaded guilty Friday, Jan. 13 to the charge of driving while intoxicated.

Kilburn was arrested on the charge while driving in Malta July 4, 2016. He is due back in court for sentencing Friday, March 3.

Assault: Riley P. Belkevich-Manupella, 21, of Clifton Park, pleaded guilty Friday, Jan. 13 to the charge of vehicular assault, second degree.

Belkevich-Manupella was arrested on the charge in Milton May 28, 2016 and is due back in court for sentencing Friday, March 17.

DWI: Bruce J. McDonald, 53, of Ballston Spa, was indicted Thursday, Jan. 12 on the charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated and two counts of driving while intoxicated.

The charges are in connection with an incident that occurred Oct. 10, 2016 in Saratoga Springs.

Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office

DWI: John A. Vukas, 55, of Ballston Spa, was arrested Thursday, Jan. 12 and charged with unsafe backing, driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content above 0.08 percent and aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content above 0.018 percent.

Vukas was arrested following an investigation of property damage to a motor vehicle at he Stewart’s Shop at 170 Church Ave., Ballston. He was found to have consumed alcohol prior to the incident and further investigation determined Vukas had a prior DWI conviction in Guilderland within the past 10 years, making the DWI charges felonies, according to police.

Child porn: Garett Weatherwax, 22, of Malta, was arrested Friday, Jan. 13 and charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child.

Weatherwax was arrested following an investigation into  the downloading and sharing of pictures and videos of underage children engaged in sexual performances.

Mischief: Brian M. Little, 29, of Schenectady, was arrested Wednesday, Jan. 18 and charged with criminal mischief, second degree.

Little was arrested following an investigation into a complaint in Malta. Little allegedly caused damage exceeding $1,500 in value to the vehicle of a female acquaintance.
