BALLSTON – The Town Board recognized the work of multiple retirees at its January meeting.

Shirley Palmer, Dick Doyle, Les Bonesteel and Tom Johnson were thanks for their years of service to the town. Palmer was employed by the Town Assessor’s Office and retired after nine years of service. Doyle, the chair of the Planning Board, retired after 15 years of service.

Bonesteel was employed as a deputy building inspector and retired after 11years of service. Johnson, the town building inspector, retired after 20years of service. Johnson was an outstanding employee for the town, according to town Supervisor Tim Szczepaniak.

State Sen. Jim Tedisco (R,C,I,Ref-Glenville) also was on hand at the meeting to extend his gratitude to these retirees.
