Police and Courts: Feb. 23 – March 1, 2017

The following items are police and courts records from the Ballston Spa Police Department, Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office and New York State Police.

Ballston Spa Police Department

Harassment: Aja L. Graham, 33, of Ballston Spa, was arrested Thursday, Feb. 23 and charged with aggravated harassment, second degree.

Harassment: Corey Palmetier, of Ballston Spa, was arrested Sunday, Feb. 26 and charged with aggravated harassment.

Possession: Dylan A. Williamson, 18, of Ballston Spa, was arrested Sunday, Feb. 26 and charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument, first degree; and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office

Possession: Denise N. Rush, 48, of Ballston, was sentenced Tuesday, Feb. 28 to 18 months in state prison and 18 months of post-release supervision.

Rush previously pleaded guilty to attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance, third degree, in connection with a crime she committed in Ballston last July.

Possession: Zachary B. Sedefian, 24, of Malta, pleaded guilty Wednesday, March 1 to criminal possession of marijuana, second degree.

Sedefian was arrested on the charge in Malta last June.

Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office

Contraband: Victoria F. Amaya, 22, of Wilton, was arrested Thursday, Feb. 23 and charged with promoting prison contraband, first degree.

Amaya was arrested following an investigation within the Saratoga County Correctional Facility. Amaya, who was already incarcerated in the jail, is accused of acting with another individual to introduce heroin and Adderall to the facility.

Contraband: Nelson D. Bruno, 27, of Ballston Spa, was arrested Tuesday, Feb. 28 and charged with promoting prison contraband, first degree.

Bruno was arrested following an investigation within the Saratoga County Correctional Facility. He’s accused of acting in concert with an inmate in the jail to introduce heroin and Adderall into the jail.

Family offense: Brett M. Allen, 26, of Day, was indicted Friday, Feb. 24 charged with aggravated criminal contempt; criminal contempt, first degree; two counts of aggravated family offense; criminal contempt, second degree; two counts of assault, third degree; criminal obstruction of breathing; and endangering the welfare of a child.

Allen allegedly committed these crimes last September and November in Malta and Day, respectively.

Possession: Martin J. Nichols, 41, of Rutland, Vermont, was indicted Friday, Feb. 24 and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, third degree; tampering with physical evidence; obstructing government administration, second degree; criminal possession of a weapon, third degree; aggravated unlicensed operation, third degree; and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Nichols allegedly committed these crimes in Malta last November.
