MILTON – The Town of Milton Republican Committee is seeking to interview and endorse candidates for town offices.
The committee is looking to interview candidates for Town Supervisor and Town Council. The positions will appear on the ballot in in the November election. The supervisor position is a two-year term, while the councilor will be elected to a four-year term.
The supervisor position will be open following the decision by Dan Lewza, who will not seek a fourth term. Lewza, who considered a run for state Assembly before ultimately opting against it, has not said what his career plans are when when his term expires. Lewza Councilmen Benny Zlotnick and Scott Ostrander, and Councilwoman Barbara Kerr told The Journal they plan to run for the position.
Interested persons must submit a letter of intent along with a resume to Town of Milton Republican Chairman Anna Stanko, 32 Kent Street, Ballston Spa NY 12020 and postmarked no later than Thursday , April 20. Interviews and the endorsement will be held Monday April 24 at 7 p.m., at the VFW Post 358, 68 East North Street, Ballston Spa.
