The Ballston Spa Central School District’s display of student artwork and projects received the first place award in this year’s “Showcase of Schools” at the Saratoga County Fair.
The student artwork and projects are on display in the fair’s Education Department Exhibit area, under the Grandstand, with the official awards ceremony to be held July 23, 4:00 p.m. in the fair’s Talent Pavilion. The fair is held July 18-23 at the Saratoga County Fairgrounds in Ballston Spa.
In a press release, Ballston Spa Superintendent of Schools Joseph P. Dragone expressed his congratulations to the students and staff participants for producing an award winning display again this year.
Additional awards were given to individual students for their artwork and projects that were on
display in the exhibit. This year’s award winners include Jamie Dolan and Mary Grace Driver from Gordon Creek Elementary School; Christine Jiang from Malta Avenue Elementary School; Paul Hunter from Milton Terrace Elementary School; Matthew Adams from Wood Road Elementary School; Julia Amarianos and Victoria Vandish from Ballston Spa High School; Renee Banagan from the Clean Tech ECHS as well as Melina Bain and Mackenie Rickson from Ballston Spa Middle School.
The Ballston Spa Middle School received an award for the group project displayed focusing on a Middle School Healthy Choices Project. Malta Avenue Elementary School received an award for a 5th Grade Cactus Art Project.
