Police and Courts: Aug. 10-16, 2017

The following items are police and courts records from the Ballston Spa Police Department, Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office and New York State Police.

Ballston Spa Police Department

Suspended: Michael E. Grimes Jr. 28, of Saratoga Springs, was arrested Thursday, Aug. 10 and charged with driving with a suspended registration.

Suspended: Kelsey L. Sousa, 23, of Ballston Spa, was arrested Thursday, Aug. 10 and charged with driving with a suspended registration, driving with a suspended license and driving an uninspected vehicle.

Mischief: Scott P. Fitzgerald Jr., 18, of Ballston Spa, was arrested Saturday, Aug. 12 and charged with criminal mischief, fourth degree.

Mischief: Ronald W. Vaughn, 55, of Ballston Spa, was arrested Sunday, Aug. 13 and charged with criminal mischief.

Harassment: Dane Menia, of Ballston Spa, was arrested Sunday, Aug. 13 and charged with harassment, second degree.

Endangerment: Dominick Deglia, 37, of Malta, was arrested Sunday, Aug. 13 and charged with reckless endangerment, second degree.

New York State Police

DWI:  Jared M. Fishman of Troy, was arrested Saturday, Aug. 12 and charged with driving while intoxicated.
Troopers observed Fishman driving a Nissan Altima driving south on Route 9 without a front plate and no rear plate lamp. He was pulled over and given several field sobriety tests and later tested to have a 0.11 percent blood alcohol concentration, troopers said.

Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office

Child porn: John D. Vickery, 52, of Ballston Spa, was sentenced Friday, Aug. 11 to 10 years of probation.

Vickery previously pleaded guilty to  promoting a sexual performance by a child.

Burglary: Quintan L. Smith, 19, of Ballston Spa, was sentenced Wednesday, Aug. 16 to six months in jail and five years of probation.

Smith previously pleaded guilty burglary, third degree, for a crime he committed in Saratoga Springs in May.
