Suspended: Daniel A. Armstead, 30, of Mechanicville, was arrested Saturday, July 29 and charged with driving with a suspended registration, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, third degree, and failure to change address with the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Unlicensed: Kyle T. McLaughlin, 27, of Ballston Spa, was arrested Saturday, July 29 and charged with texting while driving, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, third degree, and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Robbery: Joshua B Reed, 24, of Saratoga Springs, was arrested Saturday, July 29 and charged with gang assault, second degree; strangulation, second degree; and robbery, second degree.
New York State Police
Burglary: Tyler Paradis, 27, and Nelson Bruno Jr., 28, both of Malta, were arrested Friday, July 28 in connection with a string of burglaries and larcenies.
The two men allegedly stole tools, lawn equipment and other items from various residences, sheds, garages and trailers inthe Malta, Stillwater and Hoosic Falls area. Those materials were then taken to Capital Region Pawn Shop and sold for cash, according to state police.
Paradis was arraigned in Town of Malta Court and remanded to Saratoga County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail. Bruno was released on an appearance ticket, and both men are due back in court at a later date.
DWI: Samantha Abdul-Haqq, of Ballston Spa, was arrested Sunday, July 30 and charged with driving while intoxicated.
Abdul-Haqq was stopped by state troopers in Malta after being observed allegedly failing to stay in alane while driving a blue Honda Civic on Dunning Road. She was given field sobriety tests and later tested to have a 0.16 percent blood alcohol concentration, according to investigators.
Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office
Burglary: Jacob A. Luciano, 23, of Mechanicville, pleaded guilty Thursday, July 27 to burglary, third degree, for an incident that occurred in Malta in June.
Controlled substance: Charles W. Fosmire, 42, of Malta, was sentenced Friday, July 28 to three and a half years in state prison.
Fosmire previously plead guilty to attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance, third degree, for an incident that occurred in Malta in February.
Sexual abuse: Francis H. Joy, 34, of Malta, pleaded guilty Monday, July 31 to sexual abuse, first degree, for an incident that occurred in Malta in May.
DWI: Jonathan R. Higley, 30, of Ballston Spa, pleaded guilty Monday, July 31 to driving while intoxicated for an incident that occurred in Milton in February.
