BSNB donates to Living Hope Church's backpack program

Nearly $5,500 Raised for Food Pantries through BSNB

BALLSTON SPA — Ballston Spa National Bank (BSNB), recently partnered with bank customers to provide assistance to area food pantries. Along with the food collected during the bank’s eighth annual food drive, customers gave nearly $2,250 in monetary donations and in response, BSNB matched with $3,200.

The combined total of nearly $5,500 benefits 14 organizations located across the region.

The food pantries benefiting from the bank’s efforts include: Saratoga County Economic Opportunity Council of Ballston Spa, City Mission of Schenectady of Schenectady, First Baptist Church Christ’s Cupboard of Ballston Spa, Living Hope Christian Church of Ballston Lake, United Methodist Church of Ballston Spa, Greater Galway Community Services Association of Galway, Christ Episcopal Church of Ballston Spa, United Methodist Church of Jonesville, Stillwater United Church of Stillwater, CAPTAIN Food Pantry of Clifton Park, Wilton Food Pantry of Wilton, Greenfield Food Pantry of Greenfield Center, Guilderland Food Pantry of Guilderland, and New Scotland Community Food Pantry of Voorheesville.

Funds for 12 of the food pantries were delivered by BSNB staff members to the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York. By partnering with the Regional Food Bank, these member agencies are able to receive approximately $10 worth of food for every $1 donated.

Organizations not partnering with the Regional Food Bank received their funds directly. Collected food items were delivered to designated food pantries.
