Senator Jim Tedisco (R,C,I,REF-Glenville) won a landslide victory in a Reform Party Primary tonight against a write-in challenge. Tedisco, who was the endorsed Reform Party candidate, will appear on four ballot lines for the November 6th election: Republican, Conservative, Independence and Reform.
Under Reform Party rules, unaffiliated, independent voters who are not enrolled in a political party were eligible to vote in the Reform Primary.
“Tonight, we beat back the status quo and those who would deliver our Upstate voice to the powerful downstate special interests. I want to thank all the Reform, independent and open-minded voters who through their votes, acknowledged my record of reform and fighting the status quo by coming out and making me their Reform Party candidate so I can continue to be a strong voice for reform for the 49th Senate District and New York in the State Senate,” said Senator Jim Tedisco.
