Saratoga County Clerk Craig Hayner continues annual donation drive to support Veterans & Community Housing Coalition, Inc.
SARATOGA COUNTY – Saratoga County Clerk Craig Hayner announced the launch of the annual donation drive to support veterans in supportive housing.
The Clerk’s office and various local businesses will be collecting items through the months of October and November that will be donated to the Veterans & Community Housing Coalition (VCHC). This organization, based in Ballston Spa, provides housing and support services to all homeless military veterans and their families.
“No one who served our nation in the armed forces should ever have to experience homelessness,” said Hayner. “I’m humbled to play a small role in supporting veterans who are experiencing hardships and hopeful that these donations, and support from the Saratoga County community, can make their days a little easier as we enter the winter season.”
Items being collected range from personal hygiene items to household cleaning supplies. Specifically, the Clerk’s office requests napkins, paper towels, laundry detergent, dish-washing, personal care items, Windex, Clorox Wipes, furniture polish, toilet paper, toilet bowl cleaner, and gift cards for food and clothing.
“We’re grateful for the leadership and support from County Clerk Craig Hayner and his office for organizing this annual drive,” said Cheryl Hage-Perez, Executive Director of VCHC. “Each year, the items collected throughout the county help veterans living in our communities. We also thank those who donate for helping our heroes.”
