Vaping, school safety, topics of info night

BALLSTON SPA – Vaping and school safety will be topics of discussion during a Parent Information Night at Ballston Spa High School 6:30 p.m. Nov. 28 in the high school auditorium.

All parents/guardians, students, faculty/staff and community members are welcome to attend.

School Resource Officer Becker will discuss what vaping is, the substances/drugs that can be used in a vape/e-cigarette, the health risks involved, devices students are currently using, what resources are available if your child is vaping and school policies related to student use/possession of a vape/e-cigarette and/or vaping related products.

Discussion on school safety will be led by Officer Becker and the Saratoga County Sherriff’s Department and will focus on the processes and procedures in place to provide a safe learning environment for all students which will include, but is not limited to, shelter in place, lockout, and lockdown procedures.
