MALTA – The Town Board took the first step towards using a newly adopted law allowing the town to reduce the speed limit on local roads under certain circumstances, naming local resident, and retired NYS Trooper, Elwood “Woody” Sloat the Chairperson of Malta’s Roadway Safety Advisory Committee during Monday’s board meeting.
